Postacollect Kaminarimon (Tokyo) Postcard

The official name of Kaminarimon, known as the face of Asakusa, is Kaminarimon. It was built near Komagata in 942 (Tengyo 5) and has been relocated to its current location since the Kamakura period. Initially, the two gods were enshrined to protect the cathedral from wind and flood damage, and fires, but it is said that prayers for Taihei Tenka and a good harvest during the rain and rain can now be included.
